When Ryosuke Ueda was attending UC Riverside, he went looking for something unique to cover up the white walls of his college dorm room. “Everyone was hanging the same old posters of Jimi Hendrix or the Muppets, but I wanted something original and inspiring,” says Ueda. Then a friend gave him a unique ancient hanging Japanese scroll painting. “I loved that the scroll was beautiful, but also very compatible to college life,” says Ueda. “I could just roll it up, put it in a box and take it with me whenever I moved.”
